Wincanton Level 3 Team Leader Apprenticeship

Introduction

Ryan Power is a Warehouse Team Leader for Heinz at Wincanton. He enrolled on our Level 3 Team Leader apprenticeship and goes on to share examples of how the apprenticeship has helped his development.  

Impact

Ryan tells us about his experience and how he has applied the knowledge, skills and behaviours learnt on the programme, in the workplace. “I learned many skills throughout the course which has helped me to lead and manage people more effectively through the use of different leadership styles and situational leadership.” 

He goes on to explain how these skills have helped him become a better leader at work. “I now always apply situational leadership by choosing the right style bases on the development level of my followers.” Ryan also learned how to deal with conflict and challenging situations which has helped him effectively motivate a team. 

He says, “By applying the learning it has helped to perform better at work and get the best results from my team whilst keeping them happy and motivated.” 

“The course tutors were knowledgeable, helpful and really explained all the content really well.”
