We have seen a huge push in online learning and digital content due to the pandemic which has not only affected businesses like Aspire Development, but also our learners and delegates. Aspire has been very successful in dealing with the sudden change, from face to face learning to online learning, as our team has found ways to adapt.
Katie Adams is one of our Leadership and Management Development Consultants who has been at the forefront of creating online learning content. We interviewed Katie asking her thoughts on designing engaging online learning content.
"Continuous professional development is very important to me, I am always on the look out for skills I can improve and develop. As result, at the beginning of March I applied and was successful in registering to complete a course on designing online learning. Little did I know then the impact this course was going to be for me, my colleagues at Aspire and, our learners."
Katie goes on to say, "On this course I learnt about how to create online content that engages learners, the importance of emotional engagement as well as instructional design.
It was so timely (almost like it had been planned) and, when Boris announced the isolation restrictions at the end of March, I was able to use everything I was learning in real time to produce our online digital learning content."
"It was a great experience for me, both challenging and rewarding. I love hearing the amazing feedback from the learners using our digital learning content."
