We have some exciting news to share with you all. We have been rated Good by Ofsted! This is a fantastic accomplishment for Aspire Development and reflects all the hard work put in by every one of our employees. 🌟
Leah Hammond, Head of Quality and Qualifications at Aspire, was at the forefront of leading the Ofsted Inspection and she shares her thoughts. She says, “An Ofsted Inspection Visit is a very nerve wracking visit for all colleges and FE providers, no matter how good they are. We only receive a couple of days notice to get all our paperwork together and arrange for the Inspectors to meet with clients and learners.”
She continues, “Our Inspection Team were great, really supportive and although they were very thorough, they gave us feedback at the end of each day and advised us of what they would be looking for the next day, so nothing came as a surprise. Our tutors and managers were confident that we deliver great learning and really make a difference to people’s careers, so we were delighted when they gave their verdict that we were a ‘Good’ training provider.”
Concluding Leah says, “It was a great feeling that Ofsted had acknowledged all our hard work, especially through the pandemic, in ensuring that we are continually developing our programmes to offer a great learning and development experience.”
To continue the great news, Aspire Development has also been reappointed onto the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers. Liam Widdop, Commercial Director, tells us how important this is for Aspire Development.
He says, “For a training provider to be able to deliver Apprenticeships they must, every few years, apply for inclusion on the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers. This year Aspire successfully re-applied for our place on this register by proving that the quality and success of our Apprenticeship provision was good and demonstrating our businesses’ financial standing.”
“The quality of our programmes and achievement of our Apprentices was scrutinised, along with how well our learners complete the course and the impact that it has on them and their future career.”
Mr Widdop concludes by saying, “Being on the register ensures that any organisation looking at working with Aspire can be sure that we offer a great Apprenticeship programmes for their learners and our businesses’ financial standing is excellent.”
Some key feedback from the Ofsted report said, “Leaders and those responsible for governance [at Aspire Development] are ambitious to ensure that the apprenticeships they provide enable apprentices to be successful in new roles in their companies and gain more responsible and better paid jobs.”
It also mentions, “Leaders [at Aspire Development] work well with employers to design apprenticeships that meet employers’ business needs and circumstances.
