Trevor Wheatly - Chair of Governing Board
Trevor is the founder of the business and Chair of the Governance Board.
Trevor brings a wealth of experience, strategic knowledge and commercial insight in his role of Chair, supporting the management team to grow and develop the business, and deliver a great service and outcomes to customers, employers and learners.
Alison Wheatly - Managing Director
Alison is our Managing Director. Alison makes sure that Aspire always fulfils promises to clients and colleagues.
She is passionate about quality and is very proud of the work that the team do every day. Before joining Aspire, Alison was a HR & OD professional and loves working with individuals and teams to support them in their growth.
Liam Widdop - Commercial Director
As Commercial Director Liam leads, shapes, and supports the delivery of the long-term strategic direction of the business. He ensures the business is sustainable and profitable by generating new and existing income streams. Liam leads and manages the sales, marketing, and new product development within the business.
He ensures the functions are efficient and work in a joined-up cohesive way. Liam loves to create an environment of a ’great place to work and great organization to do business with’.
Sally Turgoose - Learning and Development Director
Sally is a highly experienced and skilled facilitator and coach with a passion for optimising performance in people and organisations.
She has extensive management development experience, delivering programmes across all sectors within the UK and Europe. She has a keen enthusiasm for developing influencing and communication skills and empowering people to role model the behaviours to build effective workplace relationships and strong teams. Sally manages the development consultant team and the resourcing of apprenticeship and commercial programmes. She ensures that the consultants’ skill-sets align to client requirements. She is a Chartered Member of the CIPD, and MBTI and EQI qualified.
Leah Hammond - Head of Quality and Qualifications
Leah looks after Aspire’s Quality provision, from our L3 & L5 Apprenticeship offer, through to our Leadership and Management Development Programmes with various awarding bodies, including ILM.
Her role is to ensure that the highest quality teaching, learning and assessment is consistent and meets the standards set by Ofsted and other regulatory bodies. Leah also coaches learners approaching external assessments to ensure that they are well prepared and are able to present themselves, and their work, at their best on the day.
Yukta Vasanad - Marketing Assistant
Yukta is our Marketing Apprentice. She is currently completing her Digital First Marketing Degree and is implementing skills from the degree into her job role.
Yukta controls all of the content that goes out Aspire’s social media platforms and uses her Photoshop and Illustrator skills to rebrand our flyers, workbooks and video content. She is also responsible for all the engaging content that goes on our website, marketing campaigns and newsletter.
Olena Heppleston - Support Officer
Olenka maintains and administers Aspire’s ILM provision and End Point Assessment activities, along with planning and resourcing assessment activities for Functional Skills.
She is also responsible for uploading resources onto our e learning platform (Digital Learning Hub) and maintaining the hub and source materials tidily.
Sue Wise - Support Officer
Sue is one of our Support Officers, her main responsibility is ensuring Apprenticeship records are processed, up to date and accurately maintained on Aspire’s Management Information (MI) systems, also providing support to the Programme Leads/Associate Consultants deliver the Leadership and Management Apprenticeship Programmes.
Sue also carries out monthly reconciliations and produces budget reports relating to Apprenticeships.
Jem Smith - Support Officer
Jemmej is part of our support Team. She ensures our learners information is accurate and compliant to enrol on to our apprenticeship programmes, along with keeping track of our Functional Skills programme.
Jemmej also provides support to our Programme Leads through a range of Psychometric Tests.
Liz O’Connell - Leadership Development Consultant
Liz is our Leadership Development Consultant and has worked at Aspire Development since 2018. Liz designs and delivers Level 3 and level 5 apprenticeship programmes as well as ILM Management Development Programmes.
She ensures all learners are supported and feel safe. Liz is also qualified coach and is DISC accredited. Liz is passionate about learning both for herself and the people who she works with and supports.
Sandra Munro - Leadership Development Consultant
Sandra is part of the Leadership Development Consultant team responsible for designing and delivering management and leadership apprenticeships and bespoke solutions to meet client needs.
Sandra supports personal development using a range of learning tools including coaching, facilitated sessions, face-to-face workshops and online events.
Katie Adams - Leadership Development Consultant
Katie is one of our Leadership Development Consultants. She works our clients to develop their leadership and management teams.
Whether that is delivering Team Leader Apprenticeship’s or bespoke Leadership and Management Development Programs. Katie also is our Digital Manager, ensuring that Aspire’s digital learning content is relevant and keeps pace with digital developments. As custodian of Aspire’s online learning platform, the Katie takes responsibility for the structure and organisation of the Digital Learning Hub.
Rachael Kedward - Leadership Development Consultant
Rachael is a Leadership Development Consultant for Aspire. A professionally qualified coach, facilitator and trainer specialising in personal development and impact, high performance teams, resilience and wellbeing.
She uses her excellent coaching and facilitation skills to explore real issues and generate practical, value adding solutions.
Clare Sutton - Leadership Development Consultant
Clare is passionate about effective workplace learning and developing individuals to be the best they can be. Clare began her career in HR & Training in hotels and has since worked in various Learning and Development.
Clare works with our clients to deliver the Level 3 Team Leader Apprenticeship and Leadership Development programmes. Clare is also our Learner Wellbeing Officer and Safeguarding Lead.
Stuart Whyte - Leadership Development Consultant
Stuart is a highly skilled trainer and facilitator. With over 10 years’ experience specialising in leadership and management development, Stuart’s innovative approach to development and change drives his passion for inspiring growth within individuals and teams.
Stuart focuses on training and coaching for front line managers and leaders for organisations in public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Stuart has a wealth of experience in both face-to-face and virtual training.
